The Impact of Portfolio Assessment on The Moroccan EFL Students’ Writing Engagement

Although the pedagogical value of portfolio assessment is widely investigated, its impact on students’ engagement still under-explored. Accordingly, this study intended to examine Moroccan EFL writing engagement. To end, two groups high school students were involved in study. The randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. group received treatment; accompanied with various reflection techniques (i.e. self-and peer-assessment teacher-student conferences) whereas followed regular summative achievement tests. enrich data, views about elicited via written reflections. analysis quantitative data showed that achieved a higher more significant level than students. Furthermore, qualitative revealed positively perceived their at levels.
